The Ties that Bind Us Together

Dear My28Days Community,

We hope this message finds you well and in good health. We are writing to express our gratitude for all your contributions to the POI community. The impact we can make when we come together is inspiring, and we are honored to be a part of this community. Let us continue to work towards our shared vision, one step at a time.

Karima Hijane, a woman with Overt Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), has the trust of nearly 7,000 women in her closed Facebook group “Primary Ovarian Insufficiency – A peer-to-peer support.” Doctor Lawrence (Dr. Lawrence M Nelson), a recognized expert on POI and former National Institutes of Health principal investigator, has the trust of over 4,000 women in his closed Facebook group “A Community Resource for Primary Ovarian Insufficiency.”

As members of the POI community, we share a common interest in women’s hormonal health and the critical role that 17-Beta-Estradiol plays in maintaining it. We can create a brighter future for women’s health through our shared passion and collaboration.

We are writing to you today to honor the ties that bind us as a community. Through our work, we have realized that pursuing better health and well-being is not a solitary journey but a collective one. We stand together to support each other, regardless of our backgrounds or experiences.  In that spirit, let us nurture a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and kindness that will help us build strong bonds and deepen our connections in the community. Doing so creates a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

Let us listen to each other, share our experiences, and support each other in pursuing positive change. We can build a resilient and transformative community to withstand challenges and setbacks and create a better world for women’s hormonal health.

Incorporating a visual image of a butterfly fluttering over a woman’s well-manicured delicate hand can effectively represent trust in a global digital women’s health care and research social enterprise. The butterfly represents transformation, growth, and beauty – all associated with positive change and progress. The woman’s well-manicured hand represents the care and attention necessary to build trust in this organization. The simple bracelet represents value and honor. By combining these elements, the visual image communicates the message that the organization is committed to growth, change, and beauty while also being attentive to the needs of its users and partners. This image can help us build trust and establish the organization as a reliable and trustworthy partner in the global women’s health care and research community.

Please join us on our Facebook groups and let us know about clinicians, other caregivers, and organizations you trust to care for your needs as a woman with POI.

Take care and be well,
